About Me- Brenda

I am a native Texan who aspires to make a difference in the world.  Through my brief time in the Peace Corps, a whole new world was opened up to me.  As an educator, I have used my Peace Corps experiences to provide me with a different perspective of the world and my interactions with others. 

Vadgam became a part of my life when I joined the Nabuurs.com network.  Through my interactions with the nabuurs who are working to make a difference for the youth of Vadgam, I have learned a great deal about the beauty and grace of the people who live there.  It is my sincerest hope that visitors to this site will learn about Vadgam and aspire to help the children living there.

Location
Vadgam Is situated in Banaskantha District In gujarat State,Near about 15Km from Palanpur City and 150km from Ahmedabad City. The village is 750 km from Delhi, 800 Km from Mumbai (Bombay), 150 km from Ahmedabad, and 15 km from Palanpur. Palanpur is the main city in Banaskantha district of Banaskantha (Gujarat). Vadgam is a Taluka Place.

People
Most people from Vadgam work in Agriculture and live a rural life. They do not have much knowledge regarding what happens around the world. Most young people are working as diamond cutters. The women generally work in dairy husbandary. Chaudhary, Patel, Rajput, Thakor, Mevada, Goswami and Muslim are the main communities in the village.
