Kilimanjaro Centre for Orphans and Street Children
Short description
The Kili Centre is located in rural Moshi, Tanzania. It was founded by Michael Mpombo in June 2006. It is a registered Non-Governmental Organisation that provides protection and development services to orphans and street children. The organisation runs three major programs: Residential Care, Education and Outreach.
Our mission is to provide a place for safety where orphans and street children are provided with basic necessities that all children deserve and education opportunities so that they can become happy and self-reliant members of society.
How does your trip to me help?
In order for Kili Centre to further its work of supporting orphans and street children in the Kilimanjaro region, it welcomes different people from different places to volunteer in the areas that they are capable of. For those who can volunteer through remote services we seek people who can actively help us with:

We're situated on the slopes of Africa's highest mountain, the snow capped Mt. Kilimanjaro. You'll find us on the road from Moshi to Mweka, past KCMC hospital. More information can be found by visiting our website (http://kilicentre.org) or by emailing Michael (info@kilicentre.org)...
How much does it cost?
Being fully reliant on donations, we cannot offer any accommodation or other payment. Visits are free, of course, but we do have to ask you to arrange your own accommodation and transport.
Available days/best time to come
A visit is possible year round. We do hope though, you'll contact us first to see how your particular skills can best be matched to our needs, allowing ample preparation in order to maximise the impact of your visit.
