Working with chronic invalid children in a children's home
Short description
The administration of the Home is assisted by a board of management. The children are cared for by professional nursing and therapists. They also receive formal education on the premises.
The Home transports children daily to their specific hospitals for follow-up treatment.
The goals of the Home is to provide a secure and homely environment in which the chronically ill or handicapped child can heal, learn and develop to his/her full potential.
They achieve this by the provision of multi-disciplinary care, which promotes overall physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual and social development of the child.
The children will return to their families and communities as soon as their conditions or home circumstances allow.
